100% Paul Harris Fellow Club Sep 17, 2009 The Florence Rotary Club was awarded the 100% Paul Harris Fellow club for having all members certified as Paul Harris Fellows in August of 2009. This is an award that is presented only once. At the time of presentation we were informed that The Rotary Club of Florence SC was the third largest club of Rotary International to achieve this status. Our enrollment at the time was 163 members.
2008-09 Florence Rotary Club/Ashpy P. Lowrimore / Four Way Test Award Recipient:
Mr. Frank Mandeville Rogers, III. receives award from Club President Walker Floyd  FOUR WAY Test Award 2008-09 Jun 15, 2009 Frank Mandeville Rogers III was awarded the Florence Rotary Club's - Ashpy P Lowrimore / Four-Way Test Award for 2008-09. Mr. Rogers was nominated by not one, but two Rotary members: Asa Godbold and Steve Powers. He is described as a quite unassuming "Southern Gentleman" who has contributed a lifetime of service to his community.

Betty Burket Interact Scholarship Recipient for 2009
Macaira Casper.   Macaira will graduate from SFHS and attend the University of SC.  Macaira took the leadership of the SFHS Interact Club with only 4 members.   She ended the year with over 30 members.   Congratulations Macaira! Betty Burkett Scholarship May 21, 2009 The Betty Burkett Interact Club scholarship is awarded each year to a leader of the South Florence High School Interact Club. Betty was a faculty sponsor of the Interact Club for many years and did a tremendous job for Rotary and for the students of South Florenc High School. Under her leadership, the SFHS Interact Club lead the district in support of Rotary Gift of Life for District 7770.

Beauty Trail Bike Ride 2009 Apr 5, 2009 29 members and guests took the opportunity to enjoy a beautiful Spring day in Florence. We traveled the Beauty trail by Bike and Bus, stopping occasionally for a rest.

GOL recipient Dagmawi Solomon from Ethiopia with father Solomon Demamu.  This was Dagmawi's 2nd trip to Florence to remove a large brain tumor. Gift of Life May 2, 2007 Recipients of Gift of Life that the Florence Rotary Club has been involved with.
participants of the 2007 Rotary Trail Bike Ride Rotary Beauty Trail Apr 1, 2007 The Florence Rotary Club - Beauty Trail displays the beautiful flowers that bloom in Florence SC each spring. Our club sponosors a guided 11 mile bicycle ride each year. This year the ride took place on Sunday April 1, 2007. There were 15 participants. However, you can ride any time and maps are available.
Jim O'Loughlin and Tommy Taylor take the 2006-07 motto literally and Club paddling trip on Lynches River Jul 27, 2006 The club took a relaxing trip on the Lynches River to enjoy our local scenery and take advantage of the facilities available at Lynches River County Park. It was a little damp but it was a great day with lots of fellowship.

Col. Barry Wingard addresses the club in traditional Afghan clothing. Col. Barry Wingard tells of Afghanistan Our own Col. Barry Wingard (ret.) returned to active service following 9/11 and served in Afghanistan. Barry is dressed in Afghan garb and presented a very interesting program about his service and of the Afghan people and culture. Thank You, Barry
